Introduction

These website and service standard terms and conditions written on this webpage shall manage your use of this website and includes client agreements. By using this website and authorizing StartingBlock Career Services, LLC to charge you for agreed upon services via credit card or PayPal, you agreed to accept all terms and conditions written in here. You must not use this website and cancel services within 24 hours, if you disagree with any of these website and service standard terms and conditions.
Minors or people below 18 years old are not allowed to use this website or purchase services.

Communication

StartingBlock Career Services, LLC (SBCS) relies on communications in all its forms as a significant facet of performing services to meet clients’ expectations. To ensure smooth communications, the client shall respond promptly, within 48 hours, to all questions, drafts, revisions, and approvals to be sent to SBCS. Responses need to be delivered in the form of emails, phone calls, or text. Failure of the client to respond within 30 days following the delivery of our service or response request will mean closure/completion of the client’s project. It is in the best interest of clients to provide complete, accurate, and detailed information to ensure the process has the best possible outcome. SBCS does not fact check or background check. It is the clients’ responsibilities to send accurate and truthful information to be used in career documents, including LinkedIn.

Property Rights

StartingBlock Career Services, LLC retains original property ownership of all work produced. Each project is crafted to ensure individual marketing needs are obtained. You are permitted to reproduce additional copies via, fax, scanner or copier, and can alter/edit your documents. You are not permitted to transfer ownership to another party or permit them to use the document as a template or sell the document.

You give SBCS permission for the content of your resumes to be fictionalize published in; articles, columns, books, and industry-related publications, contests, and samples on website at the discretion of StartingBlock Career Services, LLC, and with the understanding that all identifying information: name, address, email, phone number and employer names will be fictionalized to protect confidentiality.

Downloading Files

StartingBlock Career Services, LLC and it’s partners cannot and does not guarantee or warrant that files available from downloading through the site or via the services will be free of infection by software viruses or other harmful computer code, files, or programs. Although we make every reasonable effort to avoid such situations and has not as of this writing, experienced any such problems in our history.

Password Security

If you decide to become a client, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your member identification and password information, and for restricting access to your computer. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your member identification and password.

User Conduct/Indemnification

You agree not to take any action that might compromise the security of this site, render the site inaccessible to others or otherwise cause damage to the website or the content. You agree not to add to, subtract from, or otherwise modify the content, or to attempt to access any content that is not intended for you. You agree not to use the site in any manner that interferes with the rights of third parties. You understand and agree that you are personally responsible for your behavior on the site. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StartingBlock Career Services, LLC, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, joint ventures, business partners, licensors, employees, agents, and any third-party information providers to the service from and against all claims, losses, expenses, damages and costs (including, but not limited to, direct, incidental, consequential, exemplary and indirect damages), and reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from or arising out of your use, misuse, or inability to use the site, the service, or the content, or any violation by you of this agreement.

Service Warranties/Guarantees

1. You will have an unlimited number of revisions during the 15 days after receiving first draft. Once final copy is approved, revisions are complete. Draft and revision process terminates within 15 business days from the date of first sent draft.
2. SBCS does not guarantee job placement or employment success. The success of clients are directly tied to and based on their actions, commitment, effort, and follow-up as they incorporate cover letters, resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and coaching into their job search campaign. Since SBCS cannot control peoples’ actions, there is no warranties or guarantees to provide.
3. You understand and agree that SBCS will not confirm or attempt to verify any information provided by the client for any writing services. SBCS will not be responsible for the accuracy or truthfulness of any information provided by the client.

Quality Assurance

StartingBlock Career Services, LLC does the best job to proofread all produced documents/products to ensure all errors are caught and corrected. However, as is inherent in the proofreading process, we cannot guarantee that all products that have been proofread are perfect and 100% error-free. The customer is responsible for reviewing and proofreading all produced products and must communicate any needed changes or corrections in an email before accepting and distributing final copies. SBCS will not be held responsible for any damages for any errors not communicated in an email by the client for correction.

Refunds

StartingBlock Career Services, LLC (SBCS) mission is to provide quality services at fair market pricing. We are under no legal obligation to refund the purchase price of any writing, editing, or any other services under any circumstances unless explicitly put forth by SBCS.

I. SBCS will not issue a refund of any purchase of services orders older than 15 days, which are due to a customer’s failure to provide a resume or completed resume worksheet form, scheduling intake call or other requests required to perform services; prior to 15 days will be refunded 100% minus $100.00 refund processing fee and minus the cost for any assessments completed.

II. Refund request on writing services within 24 hours of purchase will be refunded 100% of the purchase price minus any of the cost for any assessments completed.

III. Refund request for writing services before phone consultation will be refunded 100% of the purchase price less $100.00 for cancellation processing fee and the cost for any assessments completed.

IV. Refund request for writing services within 24 hours after phone consultation will be refunded at 40% of the purchase price minus any cost of completed assessments. All writing starts after a phone consultation.

V. SBCS will not issue refunds for any writing services after draft has been sent to client.

VI. Webinars, seminars, and workshops all have limited seating and will not be refunded once you have purchased unless approved by Customer Service by emailing info@getyouemployed.com

Intellectual Property Rights

Other than the content you own, under these terms, SBCS (www.startingblockcs.com) and all domains owned by SBCS, and/or its licensors own all the intellectual property rights and materials contained in this website and services.

You are granted limited license only for purposes of viewing the material contained on this website.

Restrictions

You are specifically restricted from all of the following

• publishing any website materials or career documents provided in any other media;
• selling, sublicensing and/or otherwise commercializing any website materials, career documents, or any other written documents SBCS completes;
• publicly performing and/or showing any website material;

SBCS is allowed to assign, transfer, and subcontract its rights and/or obligations under these terms without any notification. However, you are not allowed to assign, transfer, or subcontract any of your rights and/or obligations under these terms.

Entire Agreement

These terms constitute the entire agreement between SBCS and you in relation to your use of this website/services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida, for the resolution of any disputes.
